Field Agent Privacy Notice
Last updated: 13 October 2026
As a NKEMSTORE field agent, your job is finding and onboarding new vendors which means you're handing us data about people who haven't joined NKEMSTORE yet, not just your own. This notice covers both sides of that.
1. Your Own Data
- Name, phone, email, and identity details we use to verify you as a recruiter acting on NKEMSTORE's behalf.
- Commission records tied to each vendor you recruit, tracked from pending, to unlocked (triggered by that vendor's first completed sale), to paid.
2. Data You Submit About Prospective Vendors
When you bring in a new vendor, you submit their business details, contact information, and location into a staging record before NKEMSTORE approves it. Until approval, this sits as a provisional record no public store, no live account. Once approved, it becomes a real vendor account, and the person you recruited becomes subject to our Vendor Privacy Notice from that point on, not this one.
Because you're collecting this information on our behalf and with the prospective vendor's knowledge that they're signing up for a business account, you're expected to only gather what's needed for onboarding, and never to submit someone's business details without their agreement to join.
3. Why We Collect This
To verify you're a legitimate recruiter, to correctly attribute and pay your commission once a recruited vendor makes their first sale, and to process the vendor's own onboarding once approved.
4. Commission Data Retention
Commission records tied to a specific vendor recruitment are kept for as long as that vendor's account exists, and for at least seven years afterward for tax and audit purposes this applies even if you stop working as a field agent.
5. Who Sees This Data
NKEMSTORE's operations team, for approving staged vendor records and processing your commission. The prospective vendor themselves, since it's their own business information. We don't share prospective-vendor data with any other field agent or existing vendor.
6. Your Rights
You can request your own data, correct it, or close your agent account. Commission history tied to already-recruited vendors stays on record as required by law even after your account closes. Reach contact@nkemstore.com, or the NDPC at ndpc.gov.ng.
7. Related Document
Commission structure, conduct expectations, and the terms of your engagement as an independent field agent are set out in the Agent Service Agreement.
